No problems whatsoever, however for my hardware, I had to switch over to vulkan and lower some settings to acheive 60fps, but other than that, ran flawlessly out of the box.
Works fine out of the box, however some tweaking might be needed for 16:9 monitors
Work's fine at a classic 1024x768 resolution, but I am unable to change the settings as the texture quality is stuck at medium and changing it crashes the game
Stupid rockstar games launcher doesn't even let me get into the game
All it does is say: Gta iv quited unexpectedly, and doesn't let me open the game. I tried Proton GE and Winetricks but it didn't work at all. Shame as I never got to finish the game
Somehow broke my filesystem and prevented boot, and took me 2 days to fix it.
When processing Vulkan shaders, it became unresponsive, before the entire system was hanging, and after applying a forced shutdown, upon reboot, the file system the game was installed on got corrupted and prevented boot from happening (As where I put my Steam games was mounted at boot). So I had to go into the fstab/etc, remove the partition it was on from boot, delete the partition, which let me restart in Arch, and reformat the partition and reinstall my games
My love for this game was soured because of my experience, but other than that, runs smoothly for me at 1080p 120fps.
Game has annoying audio bug where it's delayed and crackling, and I can't change the settings
I don't see anywhere on the web about my issue, and uninstalling the game and reinstalling it does nothing, which sucks as I never got to properly play the game
Works out of the box, but some issues with menus and cutscenes that don't detract from the core gameplay
Cutscenes won't play properly, issues with menus
The servers I played worked perfectly fine
I spent a long time fine tuning this game (Like using winecfg to run under XP for this game and the optimization patch)
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ddraw=n,d3d9=n,d3d8=n,d3dimm=n" %command%
Skybox was a mess of all textures moving around and you can see through solid objects (like some sort of terrible wall hack) when using Proton Experimental, as well as textures flying across the screen.
Would sometimes launch in fullscreen, other times wouldn't (If you had Proton Experimental on)
Frame drops of up to 90 fps when loading new areas. Had to use winecfg, add ravenshield.exe to the list, then I made sure the game ran under XP mode (Which should help with frame drops/stuttering)
Wasted an hour of my life trying to get this game working, but it was worth it in the end. For some reason, certain resolutions over 720p weren't accessible without going into the ini files, but I was able to enjoy a solid 120fps (With some hitches when loading new areas)
