The game has many bugs even on the Windows version. So things like forced mouse acceleration, crashing, randomly tabbing out and unresponsive controls are actually functioning identically to the Windows version

Some shadows flickering when object casting shadow is occluded
Trying to drag map did not work and made map impossible to see
Proton is required to play Fight For Sanctuary DLC and to play online with Windows users who are on the latest version. If you are just looking to solo play the campaign, play using Native. Windows users can also downgrade their game files manually to play with Native Linux users

I ran the game on the Epic Game Store through Lutris. Tolerate a very low framerate for 20 seconds when loading into an area. Switch the game to DX11 if everything is 'blue'.
I benchmarked using the internal benchmark tool using Esync and DXVK_ASYNC and saw no difference except less hitching when Esync was turned ON and DXVK_ASYNC was OFF, but take this with a pinch of salt

Load screens slightly longer
Proton 6.3-7 and Experimental both EAC kicked. Proton GE 6.19, 6.20 refused to launch the game at all

Once you get the game started it works fine. Hopefully Valve can iron out these issues in the next Proton release
Tabbing out caused a hang once
One time the game started but EAC did not. Other times game does not get to main menu. Usually just repeatedly pressing play will eventually start the game up successfully
Sometimes game doesn't open. Pressing play a number of times solves this
EAC let me play full matches online. Perhaps just bugged due to recent updates
Anticheat not working on ver 1.5.4
Only had a small issue with voice chat not working (couldn't transmit voice). This was fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting to the server
anti aliasing on some shadows was fairly bad

Launcher doesn't show
Launcher doesn't appear so game can't be started on Proton.
On Native:
- Multiplayer doesn't work across Linux/Windows
- Steam Overlay not functional
System Integrity fails and crashes
System Integrity failure message shows, then a DOB input shows, then game crashes. Presumably uses bespoke EAC or custom countermeasures that don't currently support Linux.

Additionally, got co-op LAN working through ZeroTier with a user on Windows.
Lots of bugs, but those are present on both Windows and Linux.
Whilst this game is supported natively, the Steam overlay does not work without using Proton
The native version currently does not work with the Steam overlay. Using Proton fixes this to a degree.
Opening Steam Overlay would minimize the game
The intro videos won't start playing until you tab out of the game and back in again. You will need to do this 2 or 3 times to get to the main menu
