linux version is trash, windows vesion, 64 mods loaded no major problems, stutters and choppiness is similar to windows,pretty playable
in the arma 3 launcher enabled extra threads, skip intro
on flat maps like deserts, fps is as smooth as it gets, on maps with plants and grass, stutters slightly now and then, similar to windows. still playable
the linux version is trash and unplayable and has broken main menu, broken ui and ingame glitches,,,,use the windows version the Proton GE Didn't do any major tinkering, performace matches that of windows, sometimes better and sometimes worse,
VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/nvidia_icd.json __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_XIM=1 gamemoderun mangohud %command%
sometimes the game would crash while launching, in that case just re-launch again and try setting the system memory limit and changing the memory allocator
the game runs just fine, performance is similar to windows. the native linux port of the game is broken so dont bother downloading it no issues with modding or graphics the game can sometimes crash (rare), just as it does on windows, which is kind of an expected thing given the number of mods I load
dont waste time downloading
mangohud %command%
Game runs perfect out of the box even without the launch arguments, I did not download the HD texture pack.
VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/nvidia_icd.json __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia DXVK_ASYNC=1 gamemoderun mangohud %command%
stutters every now and then
Sometimes the game stutters when in heavy combat, otherwise it is a steady 50-60 fps on my low end laptop
gamemoderun mangohud %command% -skip_launcher
for some reason, if i wanted to get the maximum fps i need to set the graphics to "Default settings", even if I tried to go lower than the default settings I would get an fps decrease
-vulkan
native linux version,,,game runs smooth with no slowness.
