A nice and snappy game with great Graphics. I had 2 hiccups, but otherwise stable 60 FPS on my GTX 1070.
On multi-monitor systems, the Game opens on the left-most monitor. It can't be re-assigned to an other one during fullscreen.
Need to select Proton 5.0-10 before install! Won't work if you try to install with another Proton version first.
Also detects the primary monitor correctly. It isn't just using the left-most monitor, like many other games, but is reliably starting on the primary monitor.
Tried without and with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1, the process will start (and not crash) but nothing happens (no window, no sound, nothing).
Could not switch from windowed to fullscreen mode
launcher.exe does not start. One needs to rename mafia3.exe to launcher.exe
- rename mafia3.exe to launcher.exe
- disable VSYNC
- put max FPS to unlimited
Black sceen with looping audio after 3 min of tutorial (on the first cutscene, the bombing)
Could not choose a different monitor for fullscreen. It didn't use my primary one, but instead started on my left one.
The intro-vido didn't play for me, but the skipp-button worked, so I could go to the main menu.

No multi-monitor possible. Game displayed on one screen, mouse was active on an other screen.
Going into the Graphics settings will lead to a crash if more than one monitor is present. If only one monitor is connected everything will work fine. I had consistent 60fps (only some minor dips at the start of some cutscenes) on ultra-settings. I used a controller and it seems like the system didn't detected that a game was running, so after some time lock screen was activated. But the game was till in the foreground and I was able to continue playing it. I only realised that the lockscreen was active because the screen went black for a second when it activated.
