On the spaceship, there's a strange issue where the music seems to play "double". Music and dialogue levels are off and adjusting them from the settings does nothing. Sometimes the music disappears entirely when playing a level.
Render resolution needs to be turned down to an extreme degree for the game to be playable.
Playing on pre-Vulkan hardware is probably not a good idea.
Works perfectly. The game can slow down and its RAM usage can balloon up to 1.7 GB or more after running for 12+ hours, but this is also the case on Windows.
Everything works perfectly, even downloading and playing boards from the Workshop.
Tested with the per-title override to make it use Steam Play instead of running natively. The game fails to launch on both 3.16-7 Beta and 3.7-8.
The native version doesn't run on AMD cards, an issue the developers refuse to fix. With Proton the game seems to run perfectly based on a few minutes of play.
Game crashed after ~4 minutes on the default Proton version. Switching to an older version fixed the issue.
Doesn't start.
Steam shows the game as "running" for a minute or two with high CPU usage, but the process closes down eventually.
This laptop is so old that the iGPU doesn’t support Vulkan, so using Wine D3D is required.
I’d recommend using a computer that’s slightly newer. On this 10-year-old laptop there’s occasional slowdown when there are large amount of units charging simultaneously (likely a CPU performance issue).
Works perfectly based on a few hours of play. Didn't test multiplayer.
Black screen flashes, crashes
The black screen takes a while to appear, so something's clearly going on in the background. It does crash instantly after appearing though.
Had to switch to Proton 7.0-6, otherwise the game got stuck in the loading screen after character creation. Slight audio crackling, but that seems to have gone away and may have been caused by the fact that I'm using a 9-year-old 15W dual-core CPU. NOTE: The game has a demo, but it has pretty bad performance which isn't indicative of the full game.
Wanted to try if the game would run better on Proton than natively. The game won't launch on 3.16-8 Beta or 3.7-8. None of the tweaks make a difference.
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
The game was not focus after going fullscreen and I had to click the game with the mouse (I'm using a controller).
The game won't start unless using the "PROTON_LOG=1 %command%" launch option.
Based on about 4 hours of gameplay.
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
When going fullscreen, the game loses focus and needs to be clicked with the mouse to restore it.
The game won't start unless using the "PROTON_LOG=1 %command%" launch option, only showing a JavaScript error window.
