Shameless copy: "First install Bombshell, then run it to create the proton prefix and perform the first time setup installations. When it fails to start, install tahoma with winetricks using the terminal command 'WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/353190/pfx/" winetricks tahoma' without apostrophes. The game will work, including controller support, but will continue running after exiting. For some reason Direct X 9 prevents it from quitting properly. Open task manager and search for [Bombshell.exe]. If it is listed, kill it. Otherwise, shutdown steam and kill any game and steam tasks running. Go into the visual options menu, change Direct X Version to DX-11 and apply, exit, then restart. The game should play and exit normally."
I also needed to set Proton 3.16-8, was borked with 4.2-2. Worked fine for me on 2k Ultra just like in Windows!
Graphical glitches with 4.2,, use an older version. Xbox360 controller did not work.
Same ingame settings as in Windows, ~15 fps loss. Quite a big deal if in Windows it was 60fps, but in Linux ~45fps. But it's stable and playable!
Turn off D3d11 to fix flickering, borked with Proton 4.2.1, but runs great with 3.16.8
Runs fine ootb with a few minor bumps (major slow down at start of mission for 3-5 sec) and a few hickups.
Runs, but characters are black and text blocks are sometimes shaky.
