Update 2.2.3 broken
After last update game is broken. Acts like launching and then crashes.
After last update everything works again
Once every ~20-40mins game drops fps to around 5 and after a while recovers itself. Sometimes you can stay on place, sometimes just go away from "hot spot" in game.
Runs good, but requires lower graphical settings than expected.
Once in a while (few hours gameplay) the sound is cut and I hear nothing but cracks until the sound is finished. Then the game sound continues as it should.
Had to lower graphics settings to medium. Everything above did not make it to 60fps
Before first start changed Proton version to 7.0, ran DirectX12 version. After game stopped itself, changed Proton to version 8.0 and everything runs perfectly fine.
If you run the game with proton 8.0, you need to delete compatdata Proton created for the game:
rm -rf ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/548430
When I tried to use gamemoderun %command%
, the game crashed everytime. After leaving run options blank, everything worked flawlessly.
If you are after singleplayer experience, no problem.
Coop multiplayer was able to start but did not manage to join to others. I could not verify if Windows players could join my game.
Runs well out of the box
Annoying thing is Steam launches Ubisoft launcher but game itself runs very well.
gamemoderun %command%
Low graphics shows significant white seams all over the place.
Steam controllers right pad behaves like mouse even though it's mapped as stick.
By default unplayable. When everything is set to low, I got ~10-15fps.
How to get the game running
I did drop both system and game resolution to 720p, set all graphics to low and fps capped at 30. After that the game is playable with occasional drops to 20fps. Otherwise it runs very poorly (~10-15fps on 1080p, let's not talk about >=1440p). When set to low, game looks trashy but is playable and enjoyable with friends.
