Game runs perfectly (marginally faster than Win10) with Steam Overlay ENABLED. Game begins to stutter badly after about 15mins of gameplay with Steam Overlay DISABLED.
Proton Experimental crashes during loading with error "Failed to compile shader"
Proton 9.0-4 crashes during initial load with error: "Failed to compile shader"

Launch game with Directx 9 renderer.
Problems with launching and major graphical glitches with default launch options.
Native Linux wouldn't start for me, but Proton runs flawlessly.
Wouldn't launch without switching to Proton Experimental. Runs perfectly.
Audio is badly out of sync, varying but up to ~2 seconds of delay. Attempted various fixes suggested around the internet but they didn't solve the problem for me.
Use winetricks to install faudio for SSE, this solved my audio problems: WINEPREFIX="[your-steam-directory]/compatdata/489830/pfx" winetricks faudio
