Not sure if it was because of my initial run, but it stutter for a bit in Caelid. After some time playing and restarting, it did run better and have not seen any issues. But, thought I would mention this just in case.
Slight performance hit in the beginning, but seems to work after some time/restart.
Runs out of the box
First game I tested on a fresh install of Arch. Ran very smooth. Not sure if this is a placebo, or because of the Vulkan shaders, but it looked like the graphics were better playing on Linux than on Windows 11. But take that with a grain of salt. Other than that, it runs perfect out of the box.
It could be a placebo, but it looks like it runs slightly better/smoother on Arch Linux than on Windows 11.
Works natively. Better than Windows is some aspects
Playing on 100 player custom server.
I tested this on a 100 player server for "stress testing" and it ran fantastic. No need to do anything to make it work. Works out of the box.
Works really well, if you do not have a 32:9 monitor
OpenGL quality for things far away is distored and grainy. Looks awful in any server/map.
32:9 has a serious issue, see image: https://ibb.co/jR9FCSm
Especially in 100 player servers. Did not happen the initial time booting the game.
A full rundown is on a steam post I made: https://steamcommunity.com/app/221410/discussions/0/6792047411326683074/
Works out of the box
No need to do anything fancy. But for those who are unaware. On Arch Linux, make sure the drive the game is downloaded in is mounted when launching the game. I know this sounds like a no brainer, but I had a huge oversight where my drives would unmount on restart. Making me think Yakuza 0 did not work, as it would crash on start.
TL:DR - It runs better than Windows 11.
