To get the game to launch, ArmaReforgerSteam.exe has to be renamed to ArmaReforger_BE.exe
After about 15 minutes of playing, the GPU drivers crashed so badly the entire system had to be hard reset.
Install "Proton BattlEye Runtime" from the Tools category of your Steam Library to connect to BattlEye-enabled servers.
FMVs sometimes don't play (eg. in the command list), but sometimes do.
Set the game to borderless window. Don't alt-tab when you first start it or the resolution may be messed up. The game sometimes recaptures focus if I use methods other than alt-tab to change focus to other windows, but alt-tabbing works.
I have gotten an endless loading screen when displaying character selection menu in offline play twice. Seems random, closing and reopening the game fixes it.
I run the game in borderless fullscreen. Fussy about alt-tabbing when the game is launching (can mess up resolution detection). No issues otherwise.
I have gotten one or two crashes during about 40-50 hours of gameplay. Could just be the game.
Some in-game movies (eg. in the Command List showing how skills are performed) require the latest GloriousEggroll Proton version to play. Presumably this will be fixed in stable Proton in the future.
The game may suffer substantially degraded performance after a map change. Restarting fixes this.

Rarely when loading into one of the more demanding maps like Fallujah, the game seemingly runs out of VRAM resulting in about 10-20 FPS and extremely blurry textures. Sometimes this goes away on its own after a while as the full resolution textures load in, but reconnecting also helps.
There can occasionally be stuttering presumably related to texture streaming. Turning on the Fully load textures option in the graphics settings seems to mostly avoid this.
On rare occasions the game will freeze with looping audio and crash completely after a minute or two. Haven't been able to pinpoint a cause and it could just be a bug with the new 1.0 release of Squad.

The game uses a ton of VRAM under Wine, and you will run out of VRAM and get terrible performance unless you have a high VRAM card. I have a 12GB card and the highest I've seen the game use is 11.7GB.
Unless you are only interested in singleplayer, the game is unplayable right now due to poor multiplayer performance.
Every online multiplayer match runs at an unstable 30-45 FPS regardless of how well the game runs offline. Thanks Denuvo.
Runs perfectly aside from a pretty major gotcha with multiplayer solved by changing CPU governor.
gamemoderun %command%
Run the game with Gamemode or set CPU governor to Performance or else multiplayer will stutter badly. With Gamemode enabled, multiplayer runs perfectly.
Runs flawlessly with a small, fixable performance caveat
Multiplayer will stutter due to kernel split lock mitigations. sudo sysctl kernel.split_lock_mitigate=0
turns them off until next reboot and solves the issue. Gamemode 1.8+ also automatically turns them off. Google to find out how to turn them off permanently for your distro if you want.
Demo runs fine with Proton 8.0-1 and Proton Experimental, crashes on startup with Proton 7.
One of the publisher splash screens was garbled, presumably a Media Foundation issue.
