installs, workarounds described here do not work... with ProtonGE getting the furthest but still white screen

as 3dmark is the defacto standard to benchmark systems for decades i would really like to see it working with stock steam!
ea app is no problem - but bf4 inside it does not launch with either proton nor experimental. GE to the rescue.

works great but needs launch option to be able to start game
needs -useembedded as launch option - otherwise it will hang forver on starting a new game...
the main problem seems to be the multiple windows this game has. first time playing works without much trouble. but there will be a point were u can only alt+tab and kill it because mouseclicks or keyboard wont have any effect on the game. i would rate this as frustrating..
mouse klick can become stuck - on the first screen so beware. after that u have to often alt-tab to the 2nd windows (round begin). other than those 2 annoying issues, it works perfectly. spent hours already.
numpad does not work - have to use onscreen controls ingame. some minor lags. but it works quite good and i enjoyed hours already.
