Game won't launch with default steam proton, had to change it to 8.0

the game has flickering textures when you load a mission for the first time, but after some time playing it will stop flickering.
resolution won't change unless you change to borderless to fullscreen and then fullscreen to borderless, otherwise it will show "2560x1440" but you can very clearly see that the game is running at 1080p
game will struggle to reach 60fps even at low/medium settings
fps isn't stable enough to be able to enjoy the game.

The game will struggle to reach 60fps when standing still even at the low/medium settings. When you start moving the game will start to degrade in performance, going from 20 to 35fps
