Works pretty well. If not for an infrequent performance issue and funky EAC functionality
Game suddenly drops to >20 fps for a minute or two at least once a session then doesn't seem to occur for the rest of the session.
EAC seems to break occasionally and game needs to be verified to fix.
The game runs as fine as it would run on windows. No noticable problems.
Proton 7.1 ge 2
Native version seems to lack quite a few graphics settings. Performs very poorly, especially for my hardware. However running the game through Proton/ProtonGE runs very well and has all the graphics settings.
Proton 7.1 GE 2
The game is very unstable. I've had the game consistently crash just activating the flashlight, but then suddenly be fine with that. Joining some servers has led to a crash. Over all kind of a dice roll with everything you do.
But when the game works, it works and performs as you'd expect for Gmod.
Framerate is unstable causing significant microstuttering to extended drops during some areas.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr mangohud gamemoderun %command%
Some sounds only playing in left/right audio channel. E.G voices coming solely from right speaker. Cutscenes only.
FSR introduces significant artifacting.
Performance is pretty unstable, regular stuttering when autosave kicks in
Severe control issues regarding left analogue and D-pad movement.
Analogue input did not work at all. Pushing forward would make leon move for about 100ms before stopping. Wiggling the stick got him to move a little more but constant and rapid stopping and starting. D-pad movement was the same thing, button press registered for a frame then nothing untill the button was pressed again.
Right analogue stick and the rest of the controlls seemed to work just fine.
This was with a Dual Sense (PS5 controller) running through bluetooth.
Works perfectly fine. Alt-Tabbing is a diceroll though.
Alt-Tabbing for me crashed the desktop. Had to drop into a TTY to reboot. Other than that, the game performs and runs reasonably well.
