Game doesn't run at all, briefly shows Steam loading logo, then sends back to the game page.

Game doesn't run using default Proton, briefly shows loading logo and then boots you back to the game page.
Using Proton GE, I was able to go a little further into the menu of the game. Pressing any of the options crashes the game sends you back to the game page.
Switched to Proton 5.10
Some text is incredibly too small to read for Steam Deck.
Icons are missing using default proton, knowing where the icons are is basically required to play the game in any reasonable sense. You must switch to Proton 5.
Playing at default, at this time, would result in icons missing... making the game incredibly hard to navigate.

Works well. You might want to lower the resolution and switch to window to improve performance.
As others mentioned, your player can get PRETTY SMALL on screen. Small enough to not decipher if you are facing up or down (hitting the ground at the wrong angle WILL KILL YOU instantly in this game).
Because of that, I suggest docking it to a monitor, or just playing on a desktop PC.
If your cursor isn't able to reach all spots, boot into desktop mode, adjust the resolution to 1280x800, and boot back.

After a crash, Steam Deck will begin to chug badly on ANY game you play afterwards. A restart is needed to avoid these problems.
