Absolutely 0 issues, plus the grip buttons really help with Hold notes. Actually the perfect system for the game.
Perfect performance for Klonoa 1, better framepacing than Windows for Klonoa 2 with the system-wide 60FPS cap
I played most of Klonoa 1 on my Windows 11 Desktop, but specifically chose to play Klonoa 2 on Steam Deck due to framepacing issues. 160 Hz on my desktop felt worse than system-capped 60HZ on my Steam Deck.
Hexworks have created a specific preset for the Steam Deck that hits 30FPS 95% of the time with very good image quality. Even on lowest settings - the default - the game looks insane for the Deck and the fact it's completely playable is actually shocking.
Absolutely no issues with online/no disconnects.

Perfect performance with 5~ hours of battery life. Might as well be native; noticed I owned Momodora 3 and gave me the bonus items.
30 FPS Cap
Steam Deck continues to be the perfect Utawarerumono handheld
Completed a full playthrough, with most of the time spent on Steam Deck. Only dipped from a locked 720p30 in one dungeon; otherwise perfect.
Switch to DX12
Absolutely no issues, performance even stable during a 4-person Alatreon hunt.
You'll 100% need to switch to DX12 in the menu.
By default up and down on the dpad are inverted; easily fixable.
As explained, dpad up/down was inverted. Easily fixable.
Minor (read: fixable) controller issues, otherwise flawless.
Changed resolution to 800p manually
Boots up and runs perfectly fine; I played around with a midgame save before loading my epilogue one to check the credits movie + SC teaser. Both ran without slowdown/audio desync. Perfect experience out of the box.
5+ hours of battery life and absolutely zero performance/graphical issues. Videos played perfectly and I was able to complete a playthrough completely on Steam Deck.
Not quite able to reach a steady 90 FPS on Deck OLED, but 60 FPS works great and the game plays wonderfully.
