Probably works without any changes, but I have started defaulting to the latest GE release since they usually perform slightly better
It's fun, and from what I've seen the issues exist on Windows as well
Various crashes/freezes that I'm told may be common to Windows as well.
Difficulty connecting when playing as Julia
The crashes involve a key game mechanic that is required to advance in the story and required for player progression.
After the update on 11/18/2021, it started crashing anytime specific animations were used (exploding electrical boxes and worst of all, absorbing residium). Utterly unplayable at the moment
Was curious if an issue I encoutered in Windows (FullScreen) was an issue with the Windows build or just Windows 11. Ran fine in Proton.
I highle recommend playing this on Linux over Windows 11.
Edited GraphicsOptions.Json to set FRAME_RATE_LIMIT -> 4 and disabled VSync. This removed a massive stutter when it opened.
Locks up after initial cutscene if not skipped (not missing much)
Just doesn't feel enjoyable when I have to kill the game after watching hte cutscene, then go back to it and skip it...
It had trouble with cutscenes at 4k, but this may be a general issue and not a linux specific one
Locks up after every cutscene. Skipping them seems to help
Offset and hid the menu
Might have worked if the menu on the right wasn't offscreen for me.
Using Proton-5.21-GE-1 by GloriousEggRoll seemed to fix all other issues (Laggy, stuttering, Textures missing,)
Some audio cues seem to repeat themselves (ex. tV Sounds still made after TV Turned off sometimes)
Most likely just an issue with the games Mouse controls. Sometimes it cannot detect both Left and Right Clicks Together (required for some actions)
Seemed Unplayable to me
Characters in Text failed to render or reverted to Japanese (After choosing English as Language)
Played on SteamDeck on Low Graphical Settings. Runs super smooth and doesn't kill the battery.
Occasionally crashes at the end of a cutscene, but potentially just a bug in the game as I have not played on Windows to compare. Save always completes first and resuming the save always works
Using Tab and Enter, I was able to confirm the Brightness, but I was never able to start he game.
Renaming the Vulkan Exe was required to even get this far
Much of the story appears to be explained outside of the cutscenes. I enjoyed it but missing those does suck.
Videos/Cutscenes do not play at all. Dissapointing but no effect on gameplay as they can be skipped with "F"
Worked out of the box
Another user mentioned possibly skipping cutscenes. I haven't played it on Windows, but I don't recall missing anything yet?
