When trying loading a save the game slowly creeps to a halt before closing.
Nvidia driver 470.57.02 causes the game to crash during loading
Loading the game causes all of the RAM to quickly get used up and results in a crash. An extra shame in that the game should work extremely well if not for this issue, not to mention FSR :(
Performance was less than that of native windows even with the use of FSR
DXVK_ASYNC=1 gamemoderun %command% -skipStartScreen --launcher-skip
When using mouse + keyboard and sometimes a gamepad, the game will always put priority on the gamepad once an input is made on it, unlike on windows where it switches between them. Menu options, shown controls and the map will only show the gamepad versions.
Almost perfect, only slightly let down by some minor issues
Dialogue/Character animation issues
- Small issues occur with dialogue moments where the player is misaligned or displaced initially and then snaps to the correct position for the animation. Eg: Some ripperdoc ending animations where the player is behind the chair initially. Occasional NPC snapping to an animation for story moment/dialogue.
Story issues
- Several story moments when the screen fades to black some objects remain slightly visible.
- The timing of fade in and fade out (typically eyes opening and closing) seems slightly off the intended behaviour.
The above details relatively minor issues, however they do impact the flow of the game on occasion and can make the delivery of several key story moments a bit clunky. From my experience it looks like the above issues could be caused by slightly incorrect timing compared to the native windows version where these issues would be hidden during the fade out, or characters would not have to be snapped to animations as much.
gamemoderun %command%
Consistent issues with ingame fullscreen, works fine with windowed mode and then toggling fullscreen with desktop environment.
After menuing sometimes, mostly menus that are on the ship, the mouse cursor is not captured and will escape to another monitor, pausing and unpausing fixes this though.
Works great, but certain features such as ingame fullscreen have to be avoided in its current state and forced complete reinstalls to fix.
%command% gamemoderun
Completely freezes a few minutes after loading into game (tested in training)
%command% gamemoderun
There was unplayable stuttering with mouse movement: Steam discussion with fix
Effortless to get up and running, very impressive performance!
Just make sure the game is not installed on a drive formatted as NTFS!
Inconsistent audio levels
Memory leak (calamity mod)
Color options are broken
