Genuinely didt work for me, and since it crashes before the first real save point you have to wait long after each crash due to cutscenes

It crashes shortly after the background voice says "welcome to mexico" while driving down the volcano, not even a minute after starting the game.
When trying to close the game the music would keep playing, while other game sounds were glitched and frozen. even though the game window itself was gone. It could be stopped through the stop button in steam though. But that caused the whole system to completely stop responding for multiple seconds.
I tried multiple proton versions and also launched it with a number of launch options as suggested here. None fixed this problem of crashing almost immediatly.
Tried many proton GE versions (7-24, 7-20, 7-26, 7-40, 7-43) none of them launched
It used to work at some point months ago, but crashed at a specific point each time in the first moments of the game. now it doesnt launch at all anymore.
Personally I played it in window mode and had no issues with it at all.

I forced a few different proton versions and then with 8.0-5 it worked flawlessly
It opens in a black fullscreen window, after waiting a few seconds you get a special ingame cursor.
I tried multiple proton versions, experimental and GE versions. I also tried launch options: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1, PROTON_NO_D3D11=1, PROTON_NO_D3D10=1 they didn't change it or made it worse.
Does not work on Intel Arc
I have tried multiple Proton versions, my system (Rolling Release Tumbleweed) is fully up to date, but still this game tries to start but after synching with cloud it immediately stops. Not even a window or anything shows up.
I just clicked play on steam and it worked for me. Its a great game and ran without significant problems
During loading screens the level name text looks corrupt. doesn't really matter. just looks stupid a few seconds.
I did not test all features but iplayed it for 58 minutes without any special settings or anything. and did not find any issue so far.
Worked fine without any special treatment
