To play Multiplayer with the Crossplay branch, you must switch to the Proton version and run it via Proton TKG. The native version gives me an error upon clicking invite.
Play Native unless you want crossplay multiplayer with the beta.

Several people have reported issues with game audio with Pipewire. I'm using Pipewire with Pipewire-pulse (a daemon for connecting PipeWire to PulseAudio applications) and the audio input works fine. It also works if you're just using base PulseAudio.

Performance is better with GE-Proton for me, but testing with Proton 9.0-2 works too. Need the Proton Easy AntiCheat Runtime for game to work: https://steamdb.info/app/1826330/info/
Only issue is that I could not get Xbox Game Bar to function, but simply ask your friends to invite you instead, or if they are using the Steam version, use the built-in invitations. No performance issues, if you encounter a 'beard' error, generally just restart the game or switch your version of Proton.
Other than Xbox GameBar support, this game probably runs better on Linux than on Windows.
Mouse would exit window despite it being fullscreened. To fix, simply window and re-fullscreen the game using the settings.
Fullscreen would occasionally bug (like in the Leader screen before loading the game). Game was played at 1440p 165hz.
Some fullscreen issues when loading, other than that completely fine. I believe the fullscreen errors are due to XWayland (because Civ 6 is in Xorg and I am using Wayland).
The anti-cheat kicks you from the game immediately due to them not supporting Linux.
Ubisoft please fix!
