Can't connect to server transport.
EAC support for Proton was recently added, but it didn't work for me on both of my computers.
Online multiplayer is no longer broken
EAC works. Yay.
Native binary opens to a black screen, but proton works.
The game plays fine in fullscreen, though I've only been playing for an hour.
Window decorations disappeared as the game thought it was fullscreened instead of windowed despite not filling up the screen. Best to launch it fullscreened to begin with.
Cursor disappeared until I right-clicked. The game uses its own cursor sprites.
Japanese text displays fine.
Code Error when trying to run natively. I get a code error when running it with Proton 6.3-7, as well.
I tried adding the camera.ini file as suggested in other reports but this didn't change anything.

DXVK doesn't work. Needs wined3d. Force it using this command-line option: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
There must have been a regression in DXVK at some point, because it worked before.
Works fine with no configuration steps required. My previous report was the result of me upgrading Vulkan without rebooting...user error.
You have to cap your typing speed at a certain level in order to bypass frame drops and input drops.
Input dropped.
Typing too quickly will result in massive frame drops, and, after a certain point, it will also drop input, meaning you will start failing characters even if you type them correctly. It would be far more playable if it didn't drop input and only froze.
I use GNOME 41 and forced composition pipeline with my GPU. Adding PROTON_USE_WINE3D11=1 %command% to the launch options as one user suggested (though this is likely outdated at this point) didn't change anything.
STEAM_COMPAT_CONFIG=noforcelgadd %command% -window
The opening movies stay on the screen for a while if you skip them
If the game is in fullscreen, the game won't make it to the menu. It will just hang on a black screen.
The game is buggy as hell, but I have a feeling that's in its DNA.
I'm surprised I was able to get it to work at all without the patch.
