Everything works fine

No problems with this. Game runs fine with or without the directors cut patch. If you want to play with the patch, it is easy to install via protontricks.

Works without issues
Installing the director's cut patch (instructions a few reports down by gardenapple) worked without issues.
Funciona perfectamente sin necesidad de tocar nada
Works fine with no configuration steps required. My previous report was the result of me upgrading Vulkan without rebooting...user error.

DXVK doesn't work. Needs wined3d. Force it using this command-line option: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
There must have been a regression in DXVK at some point, because it worked before.

Works fine for the most part, finished Extra and now moving on to Unlimited
As mentioned by some other users of tiling window managers, this game's fullscreen mode generally acts a bit weird (using the Hyprland window manager), displaying in the wrong resolution. But the game fixes itself after changing it to "Windowed" mode in settings, and then turning fullscreen for the window on and off a few times.
Installation instructions for the Director's Cut patch on Linux:
- Download the patch from archive.org
- Install protontricks
- Open a command-line shell
- Run
protontricks-launch --appid 802880 MuvLuv_DirectorsCut.exe

4W TDP
4W TDP Gives 5 hour battery life. For me FSR looks better than default scaling

Game just works out of the box, patch can be installed via Protontricks.
Worked out of the box in Steam Deck. Director's Cut patch works without issues by using the following guide.
Works flowlessly out-of-the-box
Full screen is still windowed (You can see the title bar, etc...)
The patch +18 can't be installed currently in SteamDeck. If you play with the +18 patch in your computer, you won't be able to load savegames in SteamDeck
Run smoothly but cannot do fullscreen

Would only run on Proton 3.16.9. Tried all Proton versions between Experimental and 3.16.9. Would not start with any other version.
Extremely High CPU use and blurry fonts
On the initial start, it would just about max out my CPU, and the fonts had weird artifacts. After going into the in-game options > advanced settings and turning off Hardware Acceleration, both problems were fixed.
It runs fine

6.15-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
6.15-GE-2: GloriousEggroll's Proton Fork

Overall good experience
On i3wm the fullscreen is a bit wonky, sometime it works, sometime it freezes the game (fixed by going window-mode)
Moving the in menu and save menu with a controller can be inaccurate
Can crash when switching between fullscreen/window mode. Game can exit randomly but you keep your progress (happened 3 or 4 times over 35 hours).
It wouldn't start when I first installed it - I think it's because there was a space in the path name. I uninstalled it and moved it, but for whatever reason Steam kept updating the registry with the old installation location. Finally fixed by hardcoding the new location in place of %INSTALLDIR% in MuvLuv_install.vdf
TL;DR: NO SPACES IN PATH NAMES (probably)
Works perfectly.
Font is blurry compared to windows.

Minor issues with text (w overlaps any character that comes after it). Otherwise, game runs perfectly.

works out of box in latest beta!

you really should try to read log and install missing DLLs before marking it as borked... again just install 2015 redistribuables, vcrun2015

Won't start.

Have tried the launch options "PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%","PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" and "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%" in different arrangements and the best I could get was a small box saying "File Not Found" and then nothing happens.
