Perfect on both Linux and Steam Deck
The game runs perfectly on desktop Linux and Steam Deck
Everything runs perfectly, just like it would on Windows.
The game runs perfectly on both modern and slightly older hardware, and I recommend it to anyone who's played Bloons previously on Windows.
Functions almost perfectly
Everything in the game runs and functions like it should, except for saving recordings before going to bed.
Game runs well on any modern proton version, even on a save with 3000 hours of playtime and 100% achievements. (biggest flex)
I think anyone would enjoy this experience on Linux, and maybe even better than they would on Windows.
In my case, I wasn't able to launch the game at all without installing the latest version of Proton GE. After installing Proton GE, everything has been running perfectly and it feels extremely responsive. In my opinion, the game feels a lot better on Linux than it does on Windows.
If your game crashes right after startup on Arch Linux, it's because of the 6.8.9 kernel. Update your kernel to linux-mainline 6-9 and it works perfectly. Install the kernel from the aur via yay, compile it (which will take a while), and then install it to your system.
Runs well with better performance compared to Windows
On my rig, this game runs better on Linux than it does on Windows.

The game hitches every now and then, but it does on Windows too. I think this is mostly because it's an early access game, and I'm excited to see if the full release fixes it.
