It used to run fine. Now it doesn't. I don't know what has changed but the FPS it currently plays at is unplyable.
I don't know what happened. It has previously run fine for several hours, but the most recent time I tried playing the FPS was down to a crawl at around 15-20fps. Completely unplayable.
It runs right out of the box at a solid 60fps. Couldn't be more simple.
A very good game to play on Steam deck
Sometimes the game crackles when waking up from sleep or was 2x speed. But it only happens after game was left in sleep mode and only very rarely
Using FSR 3.0 has very minor grahpical artifacting but the benefit of FSR 3.0 far outweighs it
Lock game at 40fps with FSR 3.0 enabled. Occasional dips in populated areas.
I just wish the default controller layout worked like HLM2 does.
To get past the graphics options launcher I had to hold the steam button and use the mouse to select Start
The deafult controller layout for thsi game simply doesn't work. Currently need to download a community layout or bind your own controls.
The game plays like a dream at 40-45fps and all controls work out of the box. Just adjust the graphics settings to your preference
Not that big a deal, but some text was small during tutorial messages. Just use the magnification feature STEAM+L1
A really good experience on the deck.
It plays flawlessly I was very, very pleased with the performance
Enabled back grip buttons as a Hold Action Layer to allow me to aim with RS and shoot with RT instead of aiming with RB and shooting with X
TDP 7W FPS 60
Played absolutley flawless from beginning to end. Use Steam Input to change some controls and you're golden
Enabled a Hold Action Set bound to L4 to allow me to aim with RS in first person mode and shoot with RT
TDP limit 9W FPS limit 60
Aside from the asanine controls which can be imporved thanks to Steam Input, this is a really great game on the Deck.
Steam cloud for this is BONKED. I lost progress going form Steam Deck to PC. I don't know if my older Steam Deck cloud save overwrote the newer PC save (there was no conflict warning) but I lost about 4 hours of play to this bug. The save was even gone on the PC I played and saved it on. I recommend completing this entirely on the Steam Deck if you value not having to replay sections of the game.
Do not trust Steam Cloud with this game.
11w TPD
A pre rednered cutscene directly after escaping the hospital was shown as colored bars. In game cutscenes aren't affected which is 90% of the rest of the game. I forced proton experimental and haven't seen it since, but I also don't think there's been a pre rednered cutscene since that point either.
Game works pretty well with a pretty solid 60fps. However, I did experience a freezing issue preventing playing when NOT connected to wifi
Game would not exceed 60fps in default setting
Game would sometimes freeze on startup, requiring a force shutdown when NOT connected to wifi. Connecting to my phone's hotspot solved this.
Works on OLED at 90fps with dips. Can be a stable 60-70fps. Looks amazing and plays exceptionally well on the Deck.
Launcher needs manual interaction (e.g. holding Steam button and use mouse). Simply using touchscreen to select "Start" will result in the launcher closing and returning you to gaming mode. You MUST hold steam button and use mouse.
The game launcher requires you to hold the Steam button to use the mouse to start the game. Using touchscreen wont work and will return you to gaming mode.
Just make sure to hold the steam button to use your mouse in the in game launcher.
Really great experience at 45fps. With a mix of low/ medium settings at 1280x800 I can get 4.5hours of battery life on the OLED.
Set to mostly lower grahpics settings, 45fps cap
Some text is small, you may need thte magnifier
Near constant 45fps with the following settings. Turning on FidelityFX Super Resolution can get a solid 60 but the game looks muddy.
1280x800, FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0: Off, Vsync: Off, View Distance: Near, Anti Aliasing: Med, Post Proessing: Low, Shadows: Med, Textures: High, Effects: Low, Material Quality: Low
The game freezes at the same spot preventing progress
The game freezes to a crawn when entering the first major population area. The only remedy is to force shut down. It happens each time in the same area preventing progress.
This game should not be Deck Verified.
