When playing story mode you can't see some of the cinematics
I think this games netcode is just poor even on windows. Games like Tekken 7 uses a better netcode than this game does.
On Manjaro install gamemode. sudo pacman -S gamemode. Set game launch options. gamemoderun %command%
Once gamemode is enabled. I changed the games graphics to be handled by Vulkan

Given the always online nature of this game. I think it's normal to expect crashes occassionally.
Crashes rarely. Future updates might make things more stable for us all.

Set Steam launch option as stated.
Right click PSO2:NGS in Steam library and choose Local Files > Browse... > pso2_bin Open pso2_bin and rename the file webview2loader.dll to WebView2Loader.dll
I had many game crashes and freezing problems. I think this is due to the inclussion of Switch, Xbox & PS joining the PSO2:NGS network. I forwarded all the ports. Ports can be found here. https://portforward.com/phantasy-star-online-2-new-genesis/
Add all the TCP ports but only add one of the UDP ports. Add UDP 1-65535
Changing Proton version deletes your save. The save is inside your prefix and Steam does not support cloud saves for this title. Check the link I provided to locate your save data.

Use in-game vsync. Install gamescope and amend the launch options resolution and fps to your preferred settings. Toggling fullscreen / borderless in-game crashes many people's PC's from many reports I have read. So adjust graphics but leave fullscreen and borderless alone.
