Some minor issues, but they are most likely caused by the game rather than by Proton. I've faced similar behavior on Windows...
First: The report is for Emergency 2017, which is fairly similar to Emergency 20.
Installation worked as expected, when first launching the game, nothing happened... After switching to Proton 8.0.3 and enabling "PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command% " Everything worked as expected.
Enable D9VK and install XliveLess and add the redirect "127.0.0.1 tv.rockstargames.com" in your /etc/hosts
Enabling D9VK improved the performance dramatically. From 22FPS to 75FPS.
As previous reports mentioned needed to install xliveless.dll and enable D9VK to get a enjoyable experience.
A stutter here and there. Basically frame drops from 75 down to 40ish.
Runs perfectly out of the box. No tweaks needed. I had a blackscreen on startup but could get around it by pressing ESC. Apart from that, nothing to complain about.
Had no issue running this game whatsoever. The game runs perfectly. However, it will show a black screen on startup. Press ESC a couple of times and you will get into the main menu.
Game Performance on High is excellent at 75+ fps with my Vega64. Althought it is sluggish at times, but that is usually due to loading stuff.
Alt - Tabbing does not work, as the game will stay open and minimize into the corner.
