6.8-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
6.8-GE-2
You can play on Proton 6.3 as well (without the cut scenes and tutorial videos)
It just works - a 20-30% performance hit vs native Windows but it works and is fully playable.
After talks with the dev proton 6 and GE seem to have a 20-30% performance impact on the game. Game is still playable, but that 20-30% might be the difference between it being playable on your hardware and not.
Tutorial videos don't play.
Gameplay works perfectly fine.
There is one neglectable limitation: The small explanation videos are not played but only a test pattern video in Proton 6.3-1.
New version runs perfectly without any tweaks
The game received a major rework in December 2018 and now works perfectly with Proton. The old version is still available, but I didn't bother trying it again.
Ran at 60FPS with the default 'Epic' settings. Solved a few puzzles, no issues from what I could tell.
The initial ingame settings weren't great, but once mouse sensitivity and details were tuned down, it played perfectly. Very important: on proton 3.7-8, the game was very choppy and slow. All in all, a game that shows proton is making progress. :-)
Major performance boost with Proton 3.16-4. Not great, but well playable.
Input lag and stuttering sound. But it runs even on Plasma-Wayland. But it has the XWayland Vulkan bug, only runs in window mode
Major input lag, choppy sound
