Basically unplayable. 1 FPS, unreliable input, slowed to a crawl, several second delay on visuals.
run com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl --no-gui --no-sandbox "heroic://launch/legendary/4b920bb4aebf4586a4f6d823817fe32d"
No audio during intro cutscene
It didn't look like 1080p, even though that's what the settings were at
During dialogue, A button to continue only worked half the time
1 FPS, cutscenes ran at a crawl, visuals were significantly behind input and audio
Finished game without issues
Just install and play.
Played flawlessly for over 10 hours out of the box with no modifications.
Constant stuttering
Even with 100+ FPS and everything on minimum, Vsyncon or off, there was too much stuttering.
Worked perfectly out of the box
The intro and outro videos won't play because they need media foundation stuff. Current GE builds might fix this, but I didn't bother, instead I just watched the intro once in my normal video player (can be found in steamapps/common/Mages of Mystralia/Build_Data/StreamingAssets/Movies/) and will watch the outro after I've finished the game.
I played using my bluetooth xbox one controller with no problems.
Completed without problems
Working on highest graphics without a fuss
As long as you don't mind setting the graphics a bit lower than usual, this game runs like a charm.
Frame rate was a little lower than expected at first, but with some lower graphics settings it became much more reasonable.
Too many crashes and savepoints are too far apart. Having to re-do things constantly takes the fun away.
Crashes about once an hour. Crashes don't seem related to anything specific. I have gotten them at screen transitions, walking, opening a chest, etc. The game autosaves but not enough for the number of crashes.
Game runs out of the box.
Using Feral Gamemode I get stable fps between 38-45 on max settings. Without gamemode FPS is more variable between 30-40. I believe this is due to CPU governor settings in Ubuntu.
Frame rate isn't very smooth, especially in certain scenes. But it's playable.
No issues.
Minor problems:
- intro/outro movies did not play (you could use a standard movie player to view them, though)
- graphics setup only offered three screen resolutions, none of which fitted the native screen resolution
- force feedback on the game controller did not work
Installed and worked out of the box. Worked fine with clone Xbox 360 controller.
Runs out of the box, no issues.

Invisible character bug has been fixed as of Proton 3.16-3 beta and no tweaking is necessary to run and play the game. I would have rated it Platinum if it weren't for the game throwing up an error screen when quitting.

Add "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" to fix invisible characters. SSAO seems overblown/bugged during cut scenes and close ups, but gameplay looks fine. Game will crash and spit out an error message while quitting.

Game launches and is playable, but characters are either bald floating heads or entirely invisible.
