Just set the game to "Windowed" or "Window Fullscreen" Do not use "Fullscreen" There you go.
Fullscreen breaks sprites and textures, broken rendering. Avoid Fullscreen.
Yep, just avoid 'fullscreen'.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
Not sure if both of the last two are needed, one could try without one of them if one had the energy to do so. Rarely crashes but with autosave it's not a major problem.
I'm trying to find out solutions.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Took a fix that worked for Eador. Masters of the Broken World and it worked perfectly for this game as well. Use Proton-5.9-GE-8-ST and set the launch option as PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
If you are already familiar with game, you will get by without tooltips, otherwise you won't know what is going on.
5.21-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Game is not playable when running on Ultra due to graphic issues - missing map, random artifacts. When running on Very High none of this issues are present.
Game only runs in Windowed mode.
Most of the tooltips only show correct text for a split second and are replaced by empty tooltip.
Graphical artifacts make the game very unwieldy.
The game screens are very garbled. It can be momentarily fixed by going to extras -> settings, get the graphical settings to low, then back to high or ultra or whatever. But then you start playing and they become garbled again.
Works in general, but has the same graphical issues that Eador. Master of the broken world has under wine. Switching the graphic settings after every start/loading to low and than to ultra fixes most graphical issues, but on some maps fog of war or something similar blocks part of the map. Aside from the graphical glitches, game works fine. Played about 100h in wine and proton combined.
ALMOST - but not quite. Big blocks of colour blocking most of the screen make it unplayable. The parts of the screen I can see appear to be responding correctly.
