Just set the game to "Windowed" or "Window Fullscreen" Do not use "Fullscreen" There you go.
Fullscreen breaks sprites and textures, broken rendering. Avoid Fullscreen.
Yep, just avoid 'fullscreen'.
the game is not enjoyable on Linux, as it drops to OS instantly upon entering any dungeon.
Basically anytime the player tries to enter a dungeon (game changes from 2D to 3D), the game crashes.
The game somehow works, it just does not respond to UI commands :( So near, yet so far.
Game opens and the main menu shows. There I can select
- options
- credits
- play as girl
- play as boy
- continue (load)
- exit
The game registers my mouse & keybaord (I can see the pointer moving) but whatever I click - nothing responds. So I am stuck on the opening screen.
Changing to different compatibility setups (different proton versions) either no change, or the game asks for "Insert CD".
requires some tinkering.
first start (during loading bar) - took way too long. Like 15 minutes. Linux force-quit the game, and when I started anew, the game continued right to the same loading screen and then it continued normally. Didn't happen againt (only once, the first time)
Game's video (graphics) is a bit outdated, but game is playble.
Related exclusively to Quests : sometimes Quests get 'stuck' (for example, the quest is to build farm, you duild a farm, but the quest won't trigger) -> ever since, the game has high chance of drop-to-OS, and if yo usave and quit, the game wil auto-drop-to-OS as soon the save finishes loadin. (also, when you open any such save, the game starts with the quest pop-up, with options YES / NO (accept / reject) and no matter what you click, game crashes.
the bug is most possily game-related, nothing to do with linux port.
