Curser bug when run with defaut steam is mitigated via lutris install under win xp environment
No version of this game (the Steam release, the GOG version, or ripped and installed physical disks) is playable.
The game does not fill the screen in Desktop Mode. The game stretches horizontally in Handheld Mode.
Being an adventure game, you interact with the world via a hand cursor. The hand opens when you can manipulate something, points when you can move somewhere, and holds a magnifying glass when you can investigate something. On the Steam Deck, the hand doesn't change state, so you can never move from your starting point of the game, nor can you manipulate or examine objects. The game is unplayable.
All versions of this game load to the start of the game, but progress is impossible. I've tried multiple versions of Proton, ProtonGE, launching through Lutris, and using various versions of Proton through Lutris. Nothing works.
Great classic game ran flawlessly
Ran flawlessly on my system!
Steam version works out of the box.
No tinkering necessary, I played it for 15 minutes on the Steam Deck.
Run perfectly but the install was not working *CD or ISO version, I couldn't test the Steam version due to it not being sold anymore*
The game plays and run perfectly, expecially in game mode, but I couldn't get it to install. I eventaully had to install on a windows machine and move the install file over to the Steam Deck and add it that way. After that it was just a matter of setting up controls.
I chose didn't install due to the CD version being the only one anyone new could get ahold of and it doesn't install without tinkering or a better knowledge of protontricks than I have. Moving the install folder was super easy though and worth the effort to play this classic game.
Runs flawlessly.
No error messages, no tinkering needed.
Game says it can't start fullscreen mode, and then runs normally. I run tiling WM without decorations so it looked like fullscreen to me.
Full playthrough, no actual issues. Only an error message every time when starting the game that it couldn't establish full screen mode, while after that it is running in full screen.
Immediately crashes to desktop with no error message
Plays perfectly with no issues. Finished the game. There is only a warning popup about fullscreen mode but it is in error, after hitting enter or clicking "ok" dismissing the warning the game continues in fullscreen (letterboxed) mode. Since it only requires dismissing an irrelevant warning I give it a Platinum.
No issues
Significant graphical flickering.
