Works great using Proton 9.0-3
Sometimes there's a rendering issue with the management dashboard UI. Opening/navigating to another section fixes it.
The game has only crashed once so far.
Changed to Proton Experimental, Sound was Broken
Some early frustrations with creating a new team, but it works
Game crashed when creating new team
With a little patience, the game was able to run without crashing after making a new team.
Excellent port to Linux, only downside, some third party mods wont lauch correctly, but you'll be fine as long as you dont use mods.
Change Resolution in /.config/unity3d/Playsport Games/Motorsport Manager/prefs
Changing to Window-Mode and/or Resolution was not working
If you can't restart the game after changing the resolution, try to delete the "prefs" file. This resolves the "not starting" for me. Don't delete the savegames in the folder "Cloud".
Lights Out! This game works without any modifications
Installed from Steam and clicked Play.
Text is small but still readable
I was able to start this up and play successfully without any tinkering. The only bug I experienced was that the screen would briefly flash back to the game's page in my Steam library when changing the volume on the Steam Deck (1-2 seconds) before reverting back to the game. Otherwise, the game seemed to run and play fine without issues. I switched to Proton GE 7-30 just to see if it ran better, and the weird flashing resolved.
TLDR: Can probably play fine out of the box, but if not, Proton GE 7-30 works great.
no problems at all
Jogo Rodando bem
Worked oob !
Install as ''native'' would launch to a quick blackscreen, then close without any report.
No try with Proton experimental. Was able to launch with Proton, older version 3.X, but with 4FPS, was not able to really play. Proton version 6, would crash with a report each time. Each new Proton selected in forces menu would require a 2,6Gb download, which is a problem on limited satelite bandwidth and DL usage.
worked well out of the box. no problems
Doesn't launch
Issue Launching on Debian
I was able to install the game however I am unable to get past the first loading screen in the game. If I use Proton Experimental, the game crashes and it generate a crash dump. If I use an older version of Proton, it gets as far as the first loading screen, hangs, and then does take you into the game but freezes once you try starting a race/career.
The native version also does not work with Debian, the game loads but the GUI for the menu does not load (however the menu items can still be clicked on and interacted with).
You're better off running the native version.
I get a third of the performance of the native version
The performance is much worse than on Windows or probably even the native version but that one keeps crashing out on me if I try to tab out.
I only got around 20 FPS.
Runs fine Proton 4.11-12 or else crashes
If Proton 4.11-12 isn't selected, the game crashes as soon as you select the 3D mode. But if it, it runs fine. I've run a full race for 2 hours and didn't encounter any problems.
Works ootb!
Using Proton 4.11-3 and DXVK, much better performance than the native port with highest gfx settings playable on low end GPU.
