its great
battleye. could connect to protected servers and everything played fine

Hands down perfect native port
Thank you, Nelson!

Major issues on native (For example opening inventory caused the game to freak out and just break) but runs just fine on proton without any issues/tinkering needed!

Native support and works right out of the box.
Unturned works right out of the box because it has native support. I can start an offline server and join an online server. In a worse scenario, you can run the Windows version with Proton or Wine (you cannot join BattleEye-protected servers,) but I haven't dealt with that issue.

No issue so far

Works Great
Performed better using proton

It's decent and its basically the same as playing in windows, I find no issues on it
It's basically the same as i had on windows and i had no issues with modded servers, It's acceptable for me to play with no troubles whatsoever.

Better with proton than native.
Multiplayer worked great. Zero issues.
Game ran completely flawlessly. Running with proton ran and performed better than natively.

Native version runs slightly worse compared to proton. On native I could dip as low as 90 FPS, proton only went as low as ~110 FPS. Native also generally ran worse only averaging at most 110-120 FPS where proton could consistently at least hit 120 FPS and averaged closer to 150 FPS inside buildings.

Odd glitch when connecting to servers beyond the first time in a session but other than that is great.
When joining a server for the second time in a session, the game will crash.
After connecting to server, screen freeze on 100% loading to server menu. So basicly unplayable. "native" game

Game will freeze when opening inventory on native version. Runs flawlessly with Proton.

Native Port seems to work great with great FPS
Can have issues closing, but clicking the close game button from Steam does the trick.
Multiplayer works even on Modded Servers. Both VAC & Battleye Servers appear to work without issues
If you like it on Windows, then that's the same experience you'll get on Linux

prime-run
- Vsync caused screen tearing on default X11 (Did not occur on Wayland)
- The game does run natively, but without proton I got 55 - 78 fps. Required proton to get a full 144 fps (Proton 9.0-1 worked best for me)
- fps fluctuates a lot, as low as 87fps from max framerate of 144fps (seems to be an issue with X11, Wayland held a stable 144 perfectly)
- Pretty sure only issues I had were caused by server latency, just some rubber banding when going way too fast in a vehicle, I do not believe this was a game issue as this does not occur in singleplayer.
Overall the game is a pretty smooth experience.
While Wayland gave me far superior results, my Nvidia GPU sees other issues outside the game when using Wayland (problems that only effected the desktop environment and second monitor).

Works like a charm
Works 100% out of the box even on anticheat enabled servers
Ol' faithful zombie game.

Very smooth besides one notable issue
After joining a multiplayer server and leaving when attempting to join a second server my PC will begin to gradually freeze more and more until it requires a full restart to prevent a full on freeze, restarting the game after leaving a server allows me to join another one

Perfectly good native linux experience
Slightly lower fps than expected with my settings
Everything works as well or better than in windows, the only strange thing is that sometimes the game won't launch, and I have to switch proton on and off again in order to get steam to install the correct linux executable

On older hardware a couple lag spikes can ocurr after loading a map but it's able to double FPS compared to Windows.
Runs flawlessly without tinkering, better than Windows in most cases.

Runs flawlessly, faster than Windows
Game crashing when opening inventory when I have anything in it.
Couldn't connect to any server with, or without BattlEye.
Install Proton Battleye Runtime and Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime
No degradation
I was able to play unturned with a steam installation on flatpak and on the standard Fedora repo (dnf). With the flatpak version, my fps were limited to 2 frames per second for the unturned 3.23.5.0 version. idk why, and I didn't test it again

May just be an optimization thing but Ultra settings on my 3060 ran a little worse than I might expect at 1080p, I was unable to hit my 165 FPS cap but got close at ~145 FPS
Does not properly detect your refresh rate in display options and will default to 60hz
My microphone doesn`t work and idk how to fix this problem
Changed D-Pad bindings. The new layout is called "Decent Deck Controls"
40hz, FPS cap and 10w TDP
Can stutter a little sometimes especially on larger maps but otherwise runs good. Tested at medium settings.
The game installs, and can hop into loading menu, but doesnt load into the main menu.

Game runs smoothly
Multiplayer runs smoothly
Game runs perfectly without any issues with Proton 7.0
2-6x perf degradation

steam cloud did not work
battle eye enabled severs worked so did vac servers
Native linux version is borderline unplayable, but under Proton works amazingly.
Using the native linux version, the game would crash every time I opened my inventory, and occasionally when joining a game. Running the game under Proton had no such issues.
Tried conencting to a local server on my LAN and didn't notice any issues
In my case, playing through Proton works better than native, so I suggest you at least give it a try.
Games works wonderfully. Native had problems with Nvidia offloading, but it works out of the box under Proton. Performance is better on Proton than on Windows, not sure why, but there my GPU wold go 60% at max (issue with this specific game), here it does use 100%, and I get a higher fps.
No issues at all with proton, native version had some crashes and slightly worse performance
BattlEye proton support is enabled and there are no problems with multiplayer.
Standard proton should work fine I just have GE set as the default
seems to work very well, no issue to report
