Game would automatically close unless VK_ICD_FILENAMES and VK_LAYER_PATH were defined. Laptop with iGPU + nvidia 3060
Set Proton Experimental, no other changes needed - game launched & could load into multiplayer game without issue. FWIW it also grabbed my keybinds from Windows install, very nice QoL
After clicking play the game starts to load and stops before any window is opened. Tried Proton 8 and 9 as well experimental.
Not working on this build.
Works as native, if not better.
OBS_VKCAPTURE=1 ENABLE_VKBASALT=1 VKBASALT_CONFIG_FILE=/etc/vkBasalt/vkBasalt.conf vk_radv mangohud %command%
You don't need to use my launch options. It runs perfectly fine without them.
Great game skiing around on the go.
Game runs great out of the box, it is wild just skiing around the map shooting.
Couldn't look down. Turning limited to left or right 45ish degrees and before reaching an invisible wall on my mouse movements.
Currently not playable for me. :(
Tribes 3 runs great on Linux
Installed the game and started playing. Easy
The game works perfectly on my system without any additional options. Only tried with GE-Proton
Worked great out of the box with no tinkering aside from starting with GE Proton, I didnt even try experimental
No EAC issues, every game ran smooth as butter
This demo worked absolutely flawlessly for me, no issues whatsoever. Only tweak was forcing experimental, as I do for every app.
qdbus org.kde.KWin /Compositor suspend && %command% ; qdbus org.kde.KWin /Compositor resume
Does not continue past EAC splash
EAC splash gets stuck on "Initializing..." and relaunches didn't help. Verifying game files made the game never launch again.
Still has the essential radio banter! If you loved Tribes it's the same old experience.
Played a few matches and no issues, given it's still alpha it works really well
MP worked perfectly and I was able to play several matches of the Alpha playtest.
instant crash on start up,
may be due to implimentation of EAC
No voice chat
Some flickering or ghosting
Sometimes laggy
Crashes every minute or two, requiring a full restart
Voice chat doesn't work
Crashes constantly
Some stability issues in alpha should be expected on any platform. Never had issues in-game, only post-game.
Game works great aside from having to reset video settings to default.
Once in game, graphics are blindingly white saturated. The fix is to open video settings and press on the reset video settings to default button.
