edited proton script
(in-game notices loaded via Vuplex Webview)
This fix is optional; without it, the game will open a news notice window upon first daily launch, but it will not appear and the screen will blur. You can usually right-click to dismiss and play normally. However, clicking the "rate info" on gacha screens will probably soft lock and require game restart.

For non-ProtonGE, you will find the Proton installations in one of your Steam game folders along with the rest of your games. Make sure to edit the Proton version you're using with Atelier Resna. Flatpak version will be:
/home/USERNAME/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Proton - Experimental/
Open the "proton" file in a text editor. Search for 374320 (it should say Dark Souls 3), and carefully add this line at the end of that block:
"2594920", #Atelier Resleriana
Save file, start game, and it should work. Reddit link contains potential troubleshooting fixes.
Game occasionally soft-locks upon entering the main gameplay screen, but the game is still responsive, and can be closed+restarted normally.
Worked exactly like the mobile version
slowdown after loading in menus or combat, also happen on mobile, does not really affect gameplay.
One tiny issue I notice is that some pop-up ads do not show up ( screen become blurred) you can just press right click to dismiss it.
thighs, thicc, and gachaaaaa
Tinkering isn't needed
The built-in browser doesn't work (News window)
The only problem with the game is that the built-in browser (Vuplex Webview) doesn't work. This can cause the game to get stuck when trying to open the news window (forced once a day) and some other web content. It's a minor issue, but it can become a game breaking bug later if it's used for something important.
Happy to report it fully works (cutscenes and videos as well)
Some prompts, like the one showing drop rates for wishes, apparently open in a new window, which sits below the fullscreen mode, causing the game to lose focus and become stuck. only solution I found was restarting the game.
Standard config is too heavy for the SD. Reducing Shadows to Medium almost locks the game to 60 FPS
Runs perfectly out of the box
On default quality graphics preset: Framerate drops when doing actions. For example returning to main menu results in 20 fps for 1-2 seconds, then returns to 60. Framedrops on loading screens or during combat with many effects.
Right trigger is by default LMB so it clicks on stuff, you can use touchscreen as well since it's mobile game. Left trigger is RMB and works as return button.
By default it's set to quality preset with average total power consumption about 13W.
It can run at highest possible settings at 720p as well, but it's struggling, fps about 58-59, drops more significantly during actions and power consumption and fan speed is much higher while visually I didn't notice any difference on this 7 inch screen. So default quality preset is great.
Also no 16:10 option in settings.
Desktop mode needed only to transfer already existing account that was linked to Google. In game mode it says that browser isn't secure enough.
runs perfectly, and it starts on windowed by default
After setting Proton to 8.0-5 (which wasn't default for some reason), it has been perfect so far.
Not sure what version of Proton it was trying to use by default, but it didn't worked until I manually selected Proton 8.0-5
