Text can have some pixels above it that make it almost look like foreign characters. It's still readable, but can slow down a speed reader.
My experience mirrors that of Dr FeelgoodMDs report below. The text can get slightly garbled, but not enough to hinder the game. I had to force the Proton version to 5.0.10 to get the game to launch.

Text looks a little funny, like sometimes the kerning of characters gets messed up, but it's mostly decipherable.
Had a really weird mouse issue, not quite sure how to describe it on Proton Experimental, but switching to an older version fixed it.
Make sure to try Proton 5.0-10 if you have mouse issues. Text issues only seem to appear at modern resolutions (i.e., I didn't see any kerning issues on default resolution, but turning it up created some overcomable problems).

Text is consistently filled with kerning errors and extraneous pixels. Readable though. The rest of the graphics seem ok, though I don't know the game well enough to know if it's perfect.
Video tutorials do not scale properly for 16:9 resolution (displays full width instead of letterboxed, which crops the bottom third of the screen). I'm guessing this probably happens with all the cinematics, but it isn't as immediately noticeable because there's less essential information in the bottom of the screen compared to tutorials.
Mouse cursor gets "stuck" unless hardware mouse support option is enabled.
Crashes whenever a battle is resolved in current versions of Proton. Older versions do not crash. v5.0-10 is the version I settled on; versions above v9.0 definitely crash; I didn't narrow it down any further than that. Very old versions start to have scaling issues.

Sometimes crushes
Game is working fine with lutris
Text is small in windows with a lot of details
Text looks a bit weird sometimes

Text looks a bit weird sometimes
Only worked for with the params: > gamemoderun PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% nolauncher
Game crash on star and need some init params to work properly
Works perfectly fine out of the box.
Would not launch with Proton 5.13-5, but works fine with 4.11-13.

Doesn't even start
Pauses briefly, then returns to non-running state.
Issues with fonts
In my experience, it's not distinguishable from a native game.
with default D9VK the game flickers like crazy. This fixes it. You can also use earlier proton versions, but this was the first time intro videos worked for me.
Some custom game fonts are kinda broken: they are cut too early or too late and next letter in font starts. Hard to explain. This is frequent, but texts are still readable.
In-game mouse cursor is invisible most of the time. There's a setting in game option to change it to system mouse cursor. After this fix, on some screens it looks like windows, sometimes like linux mouse cursor, but is always visible.

Video playback is choppy from time to time, with audio cuts every now and then (intro, tutorial videos).
Game loads and works at 1920x1080, no AA, but it does not work smoothly. There are jumps from time to time.
Tested using GameMode 1.2-6 (default for Debian Buster).

Working perfectly out of the box.

About the font issue some people mentioned: Simply enter Options and set the resolution. More isn't necessary.

The font has some minor problems but it is readable. Everything else works perfect.

No errors at launch, the same problems with fonts, playable

Three error popups at start, just press OK to dismiss. Game starts after that, runs without a problem, but graphics are wonky on the text boxes in-game. Tried to install new fonts without noticeable change.

shows many errors at launch but game runs well. Mouse lags horribly -- use hardware mouse from game options. There's a problem with many fonts -- letters are 'shifted' and it makes them harder to read and looks bad

Works good on Solus, after installing ms-fonts.

The game will throw up a bunch of errors when launched. None of them matter.

Errors at the beggining, but works on 1024*768 only...

Takes a long time to load and throws LOTS of errors however I was able to play the game.
