Text looks a little funny, like sometimes the kerning of characters gets messed up, but it's mostly decipherable.
Had a really weird mouse issue, not quite sure how to describe it on Proton Experimental, but switching to an older version fixed it.
Make sure to try Proton 5.0-10 if you have mouse issues. Text issues only seem to appear at modern resolutions (i.e., I didn't see any kerning issues on default resolution, but turning it up created some overcomable problems).
Proton 6.3-8 also works, but has mouse input issues where you can't drag around the map properly, or at all in the tech tree which makes late game play impossible. All other proton versions and the native version would crash within 30 seconds of starting a new game. If you switch between different proton version, verify the integrity of the game files through steam. Otherwise it'll crash on startup. On 8.0-5 though the game runs perfectly.
Completely Borked on Linux
Completely Borked. On launch, Ubisoft Connect launched and asked for a CD key after logging in to Ubisoft. Steam didn't give me a CD key, so I closed everything out and attempted to re-launch after reading on the Steam forum that would fix the issue (must also happen on Windows). Relaunching fixed that issue and Ubisoft Connect launches, prepares to launch the game, then minimizes itself, then nothing else happens.
