O jogo funciona bem, o proton experimental resolveu o problema de não conseguir logar na conta
--launcher-skip
comando de inicialização para pular o launcher da Red Projekt
Decrease CPU Frequency to 2000 in PowerTools
It runs 100% flawlessly with GE-Proton or installing DLL mfc140 via Protontricks with the latest stable version of Proton
Proton 7.0-4(latest stable version) with Protontricks by installing DLL: mfc140
It will not run out of the box with Proton 7.0.-4(latest stable version) or with Proton Experimental
I made it run 100% flawlessly with 2 different ways:
- GE-Proton7-31 or GE-Proton7-33
- Proton 7.0-4(latest stable version) with Protontricks by installing DLL: mfc140
in the terminal launch: protontricks 1711950 mfc140
the cutscenes are bugged but the game runs perfect otherwise
the game runs great
Copy mfc140 and mfc140u DLLs to the game folder ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/'GWENT Rogue Mage'
I needed to use "mfc140u.dll" not the "mfc140.dll", notice the "u".
After manually placing "mfc140u.dll" file in the games folder it lunched without problem.
Same as for main Gwent Game. Used protontricks to install mfc140 (to get mfc140u.dll). Then it works as expected.
wont start without installing mfc140 with protontricks
--launcher-skip
Installed mfc140 DLL using protontricks (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaf0CIx19Rg)
Wouldn't work before installing mfc140 DLL, but seems to work perfectly since then. I haven't tried playing online yet. I also haven't tried without --launcher-skip, so I don't know if that's actually necessary.
--launcher-skip
Added DLL: Visual C++ 2015 MFC140 Library
The C++ Redistributable library is kinda needed here - it doesn't work out of the box (yet) but is very simple to get it working perfectly.
There's a great guide over here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaf0CIx19Rg&t=1s
mfc140 DLL via protontricks
TDP to 5 GPU CLOCK to 400 MHZ
I had to do my 1st launch on desktop mode to be able to log to my gog account
Cards description are a bit too small
Install mfc140 DLL via protontricks
Installed vcrun2019 to fix launch issue. Probably necessary for REDLauncher, which you might be able to bypass altogether.
Mouse on left trackpad for map view
REDLauncher is annoying. You can add --launcher-skip to your launch options. You are also asked to log into gog the first time you start the game, offline mod is possible.
Most text is small.
Needs some minor tinkering to start properly, but plays great. You might not need vcrun2019 if you use --launcher-skip.
mfc140u.dll needs to be added to game folder in order to launch. Works perfectly fine after.
Pasted mfc140u.dll into game's directory.
Some cinematics fail to play.
Install mfc140.dll
Without tinkering game would start and insta-quit.
Game doesn't start with default steam play, hopefully there's a workaround that will get the game to work with Steam Play
Game installs fine in game mode but when selecting Play executbale is run and quits before showing anything.
Use protontricks to install mfc140
related dlls
This game doesn't launch if you don't install mfc140 dlls. Same as GWENT: The Witcher Card Game
Game doesn't start. I tried different Proton versions: Experimental, 7.0-3, 6.3-8, 5.0-13 and finally GE-Proton7-24, nothing worked.
Game doesn't open, regardless of used Proton version.
Copied mfc140u.dll into folder.
Just like Gwent, needs the DLL pasted. Together with GE the cinematics played correctly. The cinematics did not play with Experimental. Otherwise, performance is excellent and ran at 144 fps vsynced.
