Es treten Ruckler auf
Stürzt sporadisch ab, musste den Rechner komplett neu starten. Absturz besonders häufig in den Fahrstühlen zum "Underdust"
Don't work for me: Main menu can be seen, "start game" causes a black screen. Unable to play
I changed the following settings, all of them didn't worked:
- Ingame-settings try DX11 / DX12
- Try versions of Proton (default,GE,9, 8,7, 6)
VKD3D_CONFIG=nodxr %command%
Runs perfectly on Proton-GE, didn't work on default proton.
Works great on my machine at high settings on 1080p with >60fps when switching the in-game Graphics API from DX12 to DX11
VKD3D_CONFIG=nodxr %command%
Running this game without any commands resulted in a hard crash of my system on the intro video where the logs list hundreds of times 54.257:0128:0290:warn:vkd3d-proton:d3d12_resource_QueryInterface: {6b3b2502-6e51-45b3-90ee-9884265e8df3} not implemented, returning E_NOINTERFACE. Searching this on the internet brought me to https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton/issues/1794 where @shelterx suggested adding VKD3D_CONFIG=nodxr since which no crash or other problems appeared for 2 sessions. On my third session the game suddenly started to randomly freeze the video a lot (saving still possible) so I switched the Graphics API in the in-game settings from DX12 to DX11 and there were no crashes or problems since.

This game functions really well on Linux, I've noticed there have been two reports saying that it doesn't run well (as of 6 days ago)
I'm using the Linux Zen kernel and GE-Proton9-21 as my setup; maybe utilizing these could give you access to playing the game.
NVIDIA + Intel works perfectly on this game (for me)
i turned offf proton Changed Direct12 to direct 11 the you can join multiplayer
12 watts
Slight frame drop, i switched to 30fps
Concluios: Switch to 30fps, Change from D12 to D11, it will ruun smoothly
The video did not fully play (after character creating a profile), just wait until the sound stops and the game will work again.
I needed to change the ingame settings: DirectX 11 FSR: Blanced Quality: medium
And set the games TDP to 15W (I believe it made FSR work more smoothly)
That made the game run at 30FPS mostly.
The game doesn't run at all with experimental. With proton-ge I get a black screen.
Asked for a refund.
PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
Fairly slow, probably due to the game being unoptimized. Vsync disabled, medium settings.
Cannot start new game.
PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
Cannot start a new game. Intro cinematic is all black, only subtitles are visible, followed by a permanent black screen. Have tried every available proton version back to 7.0.6, including Proton-GE. All have the same result, except Proton Experimental which crashes before the intro cinematic.
1080p, 60fps Cap, Epic Settings
PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
works perfectly, just needs ge proton to actually play with normal proton the games main-menu background video and the starting video dont get shown, and as such result in a blackscreen, which from waiting 5min, seems to be endless
At lowest settings where the game looks really ugly it can't even keep a steady 20 FPS. When using the default proton loading a game will bring the system to a complete halt and you will have to power cycle the deck.
game drops to single digit fps on low settings
opening cutscene does not run
latest version of the game does not run on the steamdeck
cutscene at intro will play but a little laggy, gameplay runs fine
Game only worked when using proton 7.0.6, otherwise it would crash or hang during initial new game.
A tough one to rate...
I only played this for 30 minutes but requested a refund because I didn't like the game too much and for me, the graphics were a bit off. That said, the game ran well on my SD OLED without me needing to tinker at all. But as I say, for me, it fell a bit short in gameplay and wasn't quite like the Subnautica-clone I expected.
Crashes to desktop after splash screen
Installed and hit play - just worked.
Flawless from get-go, nothing bad to report.
Performance was not too great given my hardware, but this was most likely due to poor optimization rather than Proton due to it being in early access. 1080p max settings stayed around 60-70fps, with rare peaks of 100. 1440p max settings, could barely surpass 60fps (it is noted in the settings that the game is not optimized for high resolutions)
AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV mangohud %command%
I had to enable FSR and changed the Graphics API to DX11 and that made the Game run like a dream
The early access version of this game needs a lot more optimization before it becomes an enjoyable experience
Even at FSR on performance, res at 1024x768, and low settings, best I could get was around 23 fps.
Slideshow, unplayable
Noise when menu opened from in-game
Huge fps drop when outside scenes in view (on medium quality with fxr)
Stub in place of videos on start and in main menu
Requires GE to play intro video when starting a game. I'm not sure if the video can be skipped or just waiting works too.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Performance in first DEMO was ok but my gfx card fans were going max speed most of the time.
This is the DEMO version from Oct 2022, before steam launch.
