First launch had a setup window not supporting gamepad
Didn't launched with Proton (default) for me. Had to use the native Version. That one ran like a charm.
Only upon closing the game there is always a crash dialog. But since it's upon closing the game it isn't an issue

Before installing the game, in properties, in compatibility tab select Steam Linux Runtime to install native Linux-version of the game. For some reason, the Steam store no longer displays support for the game on Linux, although in fact it exist, install and works
I recommend playing the native version without using Proton. It works much better then Windows-version and supports gamepad control perfectly. If you wish, you can limit the TDP to 5W, since the game does not consume many resources, and extra battery life is not unnecessary

Runs out of the box with Proton. Steam Controller works fine.
Tried the native version first but I had input lags with mouse and keyboard and my gamepad did not work at all. When using Proton there were no issues at all. Gameplay feels like the way I remeber it on Xbox 360. Did not test vanilla Overlord.

I read on some reports here that you should first install Overlord, then run it once (create a profile), close. Then install Rising Hell, and play. I haven't tried doing otherwise, but this worked perfectly so i guess better safe than sorry. You may or may not need to do this.
REMEMBER. INSTALL OVERLORD FIRST, THEN RISING HELL. THEN LAUNCH FROM RISING HELL. FULL GAME RIGHT THERE.

If you played the normal Overlord first, you need to move the
pfx/drive_c/ deck user/documents/Overlord folder from this games compat data to Rising Hells compatdata in the same path inside the Rising Hell compatdata. Saves are compatible, just need to be moved as the games share install folders but not compatdata folders. I suppose you could symlink those but there is no need. Just move your saves and launch from the expansion
Install the og first, then this, then run from Rising Hell. If you played OG first go hunt for your saves in compatdata and bring them to this ones compatdata in desktop mode.
The expansion installs as a standalone but installs files to the same folder. Installing Rising Hell makes the deck not want to launch this one anymore, which is weird since on pc this one also launches the expansion, but just launch rising hell. If you played this one first you need to move the
pfx/drive_/ user/documents/Overlord folder from this games compat data to Rising Hells compatdata in the same path inside the Rising Hell compatdata. Saves are compatible, just need to be moved as the games share install folders but not compatdata folders. I suppose you could symlink those but there is no need. Just move your saves and launch from the expansion. They both would launch the same exe anyway its just that two compatdata folders confuses the deck and it doesnt want to launch og anymore. Just use Rising Hell and use STEAMGRIDDB to spruce up the Rising Hell page

Runs great on Deck. Occasionally crashes on startup, but just you can just start it again
It runs the same as the non-expansion game, so the difference in official Deck rating seems to be a mistake.
I didn't like part of their controller control scheme (specifically: hold left bumper to control camera) and fixing it in steam input is imperfect because the game "forgets" what button is being pressed during any scripted event or loading, but that's just the way this game has always been when it comes to controllers.

Game runs without any major tweaks perfectly from general gameplay and graphics standpoint. What doesn't work is clicking on any menu-driven system, from the intro to the game, to tower travel menus, forge, and most importantly your armory. I can do most anything simply using arrows and enter luckily, but I can't figure out how to go left and right in any way in the armory to change from helmet, weapon, or armor pages. Playing this through I"ve not needed to change yet, but once I get Arcanum smelter, I'm a bit screwed to use it.
