gamescope -e %command%
Highest resolution I can get is 1280x720, wont go fullscreen (might be related to -e flag)
Without gamescope -e, the mouse wasn't displaying its accurate location
Flawless
Worked perfectly out of the box. No issues.
Limit TDP to 10
Limit TDP to 10
One or two of the card descriptions can be a little small
The game is quite hungry by default. Can limit TDP to 10w with almost no performance impact; to 5w with rare FPS drops.
Overall a nice experience. The only issues are battery consumption (can be mitigated with TDP limit) and that some text on cards is a bit small and difficult to read.
I also feel like the build is different from the default linux build. The differences are: (1) the achievements work on the deck (they did not on the desktop for me), and (2) for some reason you are limited to two playable characters on the deck instead of four elsewhere (no Noodle Man :( ).
Unable to boot game at all
Proton 7.0-1, Experimental, GE7-10 all attempted and all unable to boot game
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
After installing the game, the Unity engine returned an error saying it wasn't able to find DirectX 11, before crashing the game. After searching for solutions online, I found the above launch option, which bypassed the error and got the game running perfectly without any bugs, slowdowns or the save of my existing run through the game.
Tested on GE-Proton7-9 but also works on regular proton versions. leave your launch options field empty and run it vanilla.
Will not launch if you attempt to load stuff like gamemoderun or libstrangle in your launch options so leave your launch options field blank, neither are really necessary anyway since in game Vsync works fine and the game blazes past 60fps if you have Vsync off. Was even able to alt tab without issue.
Game doesn't start
Tried with Proton 6.3-8, current experimental, 7.1-GE-2, and 7.0rc3-GE-1, all with the same result.
A few minutes after launching the game it freezes when playing in fullscreen or borderless window. Playing in windowed mode solved this issue.
Works perfectly
Achievements also work just fine
Click and play
Mostly works out of the box
Achievements don't work. Completed the game on classic difficulty with counter deck and didn't get a single achievement.
No tweaks needed; runs flawlessly
Works out of the box, no tinkering required.
If you're running Nvidia's proprietary drives, and Fights in Tight Spaces is generating cryptic error messages on launch, try updating your drivers. I was running some pretty old drivers, maybe 2 years old. An update fixed it right up!
Fantastic game flawlessly working
Works right out-of-the-box. DualShock 4 controller support.
