The game can be launched normally, but the old version of proton 6.3-8 is required to run this game stably
The game is playable, but requires an older version of the steam proton compatibility layer and the publisher's uncensored content patch.
To install the +18 patch, you first should run game once and then install patch you've downloaded from Kagura Games website using protontricks.
Funciona perfectamente, pero...
Funciona perfectamente, pero es un juego pensado principalmente para jugar con mouse, asi que puede que tardes un poco en acostumbrarte a jugar con mando si decides jugarlo asi.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="libglesv2.dll=d" %command%
Works out of the box
Moved Left, Right and Middle mouse buttons to the A, B X buttons respectively, for ease of play during some minigames.
The game uses a very low internal resolution, try using FSR scaling with sharpness to 3 for a better image rather than Linear, or if you are fine with very sharp pixels (I mean, it's pixel art after all), use Nearest.
Game runs great out of the box
(Played the version with the DLC)
Game slows down after long playtime, like every RPG Maker game.
Patch can be installed with Protontricks Launcher
Works fine
The glitchy animations on the menu are there on Windows too so I think it's intended.
Works well after a few tweaks
The game is pretty stable. The only tweak I had to perform was to increase my nofile limit to prevent crashes (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Limits.conf#nofile). Another common problem with RPGMaker-type games is that it tends to lag in extended playtime, and this one is no exception.
Otherwise, compatibility is great.
In the start menu of the game the animation graphics where a bit glitchy. But in the actual game all graphics worked flawlessly.
Using i3 the game would go out of Fullscreen mode whenever interacted withe it. But just having the normal size of the window be my hole screen worked for me as it was basically as big as a fullscreen, so i dident even notice it after playing.
From the start you buy the censord version on Steam. Kagura games however has a Free uncensored Patch on there website for man of culture such as yourself.
https://www.kaguragames.com/product/summer-memories-expansion-dlc-patch/
I myself got the dlc from the start, so i just had to install this patch to get the whole game uncensored. Just download it (You have to fill out a forum, just put some bullshit in, they dont validate it) and run the exe file using wine (Install withe your Pagage Manager, and then run "wine >Path to exe file<" in a terminal). Then you have to give it the location the game is installed in, which is the tricky part, since it expects a winbloats path. The right Path for me was
Z:\home>user<.local\share\Steam\steamapps\common\Summer/ Memories
Dont ask me why or how "Z:", but it worked should work for you to.
After you install that you are good to go. And remember, dont skip Leg day :p
The game runs normally, just install and click play Also confirmed that official R18+ patch for the steam version installs and works fine.
You won't be able to see almost anything.
Textures were stretched or "runny"? Don't exactly know how to describe it. Point is, the main menu looked terrible and the text was near impossible to read. It wasn't any better after starting a new game.
I did also try other Proton versions, but the result was the exact same.
