"Plug and play", even Fullscreen works well (press F11).
Only occurred once, after a long play session resumed from system sleep.
Linux gaming at its finest. Works with minimal tinkering. Responsive controls. No noticable graphical glitches. I look forward to playing its sequel when it comes out
Works with minimal tinkering
For my current system, I had to install sys-apps/lsb-release. In my backup Ubuntu system, the game runs flawlessly.
Played to completion (100% achievements). Performance is inconsistent which is expected from Flash games. Compatibility-wise, I did not come across any issues.
Not recommended. Play on Windows if you have to, but don't expect it to play well either way.
Major performance issues. The game doesn't even perform well on Windows, and it only gets worse on Proton.
Made in Unity; The game seems unoptimized.
The following command was executed in the game directory: protontricks 1106080 mfc42 winxp l3codecx corefonts
Works well after a few tweaks
The game is pretty stable. The only tweak I had to perform was to increase my nofile limit to prevent crashes (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Limits.conf#nofile). Another common problem with RPGMaker-type games is that it tends to lag in extended playtime, and this one is no exception.
Otherwise, compatibility is great.
Occasionally, game fails to run above 30fps.
Native TF2 offers better compatibility compared to using Proton, but a few adjustments need to be made to start playing the game.
Replaced bundled libtcmalloc_minimal.so.4 to system equivalent (softlink). It seems that newer versions of glibc are incompatible with the bundled library, see https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Source-1-Games/issues/3729
It needs tinkering to work around a few issues. Despite this, native versions generally have better compatibility that running Proton on Windows counterparts.
The Ultra Deluxe version has the advantage of being naitively supported on Linux compared to it's predecessor.
Early review: seems to play fine. I've been able to play a few levels with no encountered problems.
