Works OOB
You will need to set a higher graphics setting since it defaults to low, but that seems very common with running games under proton

Enabled scrolling on left Trackpad
Smallish text everywhere
Game runs fine without any customization to proton or other tricks. The controller layout however warrants some changes to the scrolling, I mapped a mouse scroll to the left pad. The keyboard has some troubles when creating your profile (typing in your name and such), but that's not necessary game related.
It works fine easy install, easy playable.
If you already have a saved game that you wish to continue while using Linux, you won't have many problems.
On Windows I can run the game using 3D and maxed setting, on Linux I have switched to 2D because I was getting slowdowns.
When beggining a new save, I cannot create a new manager because I can't pick my nationality (the dropdown menu doesn't work, and writting doesn't work either).
Sometimes I forget that I'm using Linux
When in windowed mode (when you press Super key on GNOME), the progress gets halted. Not a biggie.
Did not open with proton 5.13 and experimental. Worked fine with Proton 5.0-10
Almost perfect, except online gaming (unable to join any online server)
Not able to join an online server. Only local play is working right now
Works perfectly out of the box.
Game tries to launch, black screen, then crashes
Out of the box experience.
In 3d matches the level of detail had to be lowered to Medium, when Windows works in Very High detail
En partidos 3D el rendimiento es pero, hay que bajar nivel de detalle a Medio
In 3D matches the performance is but, you have to lower the level of detail to Medium
Runs flawlessly.
plays perfect "out of box", nothing has to be "tuned"
game works perfect, do not put any dxvk (dxvk in fm is just stupid idea anyway) or other settings, just leave it and you won't have issues.
Besides few problems, runs as well as on Windows.
Alt-Tab does escape fullscreen, but the game freezes and becomes unresponsive.
Besides the hibernation bug that was mentioned before, I can't change computer volume by using shortcuts Fn+F2 and +F3, the game just freezes for ~3 seconds and volume doesn't change.
Worked perfectly out of the box
Window mode option would be lost on restart
Using DVXK,
- Loading into the start screen, my manager has his neck out of his body. Other limbs are awkwardly offset.
- The 3D match engine runs but players are unable to move their limbs.
- The colors in the game interface makes reading font impossible. Only half resolved with a custom skin
Using OpenGL with PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
- Manager does not load and is blacked out
- 3D engine does not work, only 2D engine will work
- Interface is completely fixed and working as intended.
Feels like it doesn't use my nvidia graphic cards at all. Also happens with native Steam.
Works out of the box for me
Ran nicely out-of-the-box. Even after adding a 15-divisions and several gigs of badges, game ran well.
I'm running game with PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%, the same happens with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%.
I can't make my manager avatar at start, because it isn't showing me "him". With that i would live and play, but the same problem is with 3d match, commentary looks like it should, but on the pitch i don't see any players, ball etc.
I tried PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command% and with that i see manager avatar, some stuff on pitch, but it's pink and flickered, because i guess game is pushed to use older DirectX library.

Worked flawlessly for me, now in my 5th season!
Options for customisation of your appearance, eg using webcam or uploading a file from your documents, both cause a system crash

Very long stutter
The game runs fine with Intel graphics, When switched to Nvidia, the game hangs and is totally unplayable.

Ensure graphics are set to medium and always save/close before sleep/hibernation.
For 3d match view to work you need to set the video performance to medium otherwise there is some stuttering.
As others has mentioned if you sleep/hibernate your computer the game returns with a black screen and you can't do anything with it. Always save before sleeping/hibernation.
game works flawlessly using prime-run %command%, the only issue is the game stops working after suspend
This Game does not start
after update kernel to 5.5 and mesa to 19.3.2 games works flawless, no issue at all, no need for launch parameter.
mouse still flicker but very rarely after new kernerl/driver in system
3d match engine is broken
Mouse pointer tends to jump around a bit when hitting lmb
Had to run PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% otherwise I only got a black screen and a crash on launch

Playable, no problems. Uses more RAM than specified in system requirements.
Can't go back to game window after light-locker locks the screen. The window is still there, but it's transparent
Higher RAM usage
The game uses more RAM than specified in system requirements (around 6GB). Game starts with about 2GB but then jumps to 5-6GB after the first match is played. I assume this is due to caching. (there isn't an apparent memory leak since the RAM usage doesn't go up after reaching 6GB)
The only problem I have is that fps drops when you switch focus to another window (e.g. into browser). Notable if you have 2 screens. Bug it's a minor issue.
Runs fine after lowering graphics quality.
Had to drop quality in the 3D engine to medium or the matches would sometimes be jerky.
Game crashed a few times until I dropped graphics quality in 3D to medium. After that I haven't had a single crash.
Crash on start
The games shows a black screen for a moment and then closes (no crash report). I tried both with proton D3D enabled and disabled.
mouse is flickering, tryed to use launch option for D3D. was working, but now it doesn't, for unknown reason.
game stutters sometimes.

almost flawless - tested the Demo version
In a match the mouse cursor shutters seldomly.
