Native works great
Was unable to use the mouse, along with some weird input problems when having a controller plugged in.
Native version of the game works flawlessly, just disconnect any controllers before playing.

Game was fit to screen in the default 'windowed' mode. Switched to full screen. Worked perfectly.
Works great on Steam Deck with all it's default settings.

Using GE-8-16 restores background art & cloud saves from the native & proton builds respectively

Starts in 1080p resolution, which distorts the main menu and causes the edge of the screen to be cropped off. Switch to 720p in the settings but be aware that it saves your resolution choices to the Steam Cloud, so you'll have to keep switching if you're also playing on desktop.
Switch to Proton instead of the Native version if you want your save games to be cross platform compatible.
Cloud saves seems to not work corss platform. If you played on Windows and wanted to continue on Deck saves wont synchronize. You might need to copy saves manualy.
Steam Deck saves: /home/deck/.config/unity3d/DrawDistance/VtM Coteries of New York/
Windows saves: C:\Users{USER_FOLDER}\AppData\LocalLow\DrawDistance\VtM Coteries of New York

- Proton and GloriousEggroll builds do not work.
- Installing mf from
protontricks
does not work. - mf-install does work:
WINEPREFIX=/home/user/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1096410/pfx PROTON=/home/user/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Proton\ 7.0 ./mf-install.sh -proton

Backgrounds are not displaying properly, only foreground graphics / text windows display properly.
Initial Menu is black, you have to mouse around and guess at what you're hitting.

Black screen on menu
game opens, shows some intro credits but the menu is a black screen and you can hear the mouse hovering over the menu options
Game launches but after intro credit only black screen. Menu items can be heard on hover over.

Playable but with major hindrances
Black backgrounds and menu screen is black
The menu is a black screen but you can hear a click when you move around the menu using your controller so you can select each menu and try them out to know which is which.
When starting a new game, it seems to work fine except for the backgrounds that are totally black (characters show up though). Which isn't fine to me because the visuals are a major part of the global experience for this kind of games, otherwise I'd just read a book.
