100% compatable with linux without any tricks.
A decent experience. Practically identical to playing on windows.
Any lag experienced was not the fault of linux and is rather the fundamental way the game functions. This preforms EXACTLY the same as when playing on windows. ( IE. Extreme lag attempting to open and close the save menu, cutscenes getting progressively slower the longer they are, random stutters while walking across the world map etc. )
Certain text options get cut off.
The game lags significantly and frames are never stable. I also encountered a broken zone.
Text can overlap on dialogue options.
The game lags a lot and take long time to load areas or the save/load screen.

some sound effects stop abruptly leading to a popping sound
as far as I know the occasional crashing also happens on windows. Just remember to save every so often and you'll be fine
