Technically playable, but a cursor position bug forces playing in 720p when using mouse input - the larger the window, the more broken the cursor is. Fullscreen mode doesn't work at all. "PrettyPrinny" OpenGL improvement mod crashes the game with no error. Same issues when using Proton-GE.
Works out of box. Tested vanilla as well as The Reunion overhaul modpack (requires Windows for the installer), no problems up to Junon.
Controller support provided through Steam Input - analog stick is unmappable but default config works out of box.
Crashes about 15 seconds into intro cutscene of FFX. Controller non-functional.
FFX-2 untested.

Serious input bug. Moving the mouse in any direction causes the framerate to drop to <10 from 180+. Playing in windowed/borderless fixes the problem completely on the menus but it still remains in gameplay. This makes the game barely playable unless you use a controller.
Tested changing other display related settings, no fix found. Possibly KWin related, no idea how to start debugging this.

Performance actually surprisingly good otherwise. I've not played long enough yet to see if the decal crashing bug affecting Nvidia/Windows is still apparent.
Runs a fair bit better than the native version (90fps-ish vs 50fps-ish on Low 1440p), but setting the renderer to OpenGL in the menu is a must. Even with this overspecced machine, the framerate isn't amazing, probably due to the age of the software. Occasional glitch where the crosshair snaps to the ceiling but overall works much better than the native port.
Cutscenes work using the mf_install patch. Can't get controller to be detected, even when run through Big Picture mode, but keyboard and mouse work perfectly. Performance is great on ultra settings with only a few one-time shader compiles at the start of some levels.
The native version's performance is terrible. Running with Proton provides easily double, sometimes triple the average framerate. Occasional menu interface flickering and one crash so far, but gameplay is smooth.
After setting Vsync to "enabled", in the launcher, this game is perfect and there has been no more interface flickering or crashing. War Thunder runs as well as it does now on Windows (please remove last silver report).
Launcher works to install and run game, performance seems OK. Music and sounds are OK using the xaudio launch option. No controller tested, keyboard and mouse input works as expected. Could not start any missions due to crashes while in hub ship. No error messages, the game just stops and closes.
Still getting random crashes after plugging in 3 different controllers and enabling xboxdrv. Sometimes after an hour, sometimes after 10 mintues. Disabling Esync crashes the launcher.
