Works great OOTB using Vulkan
Black stripes appear on some surfaces sometimes, but reloading the save always fixes it. Not sure if this is a Linux problem or game bug. Using Vulkan.
Slight performance decrease if you use DX11, would recommend Vulkan instead.
Seamless OOTB experience
You can run this with zero configuration and it runs like a charm.
Changed engine.ini (and other associated files) to remove vsync and fps cap - but this is a cross-platform issue.
Broken since most recent hotfix 7.2.1 - game freezes/hangs after a few minutes of playing.
Mostly flawless, performance is on par with Windows for me.
You'll get the very occasional shader stutter when playing a map for the first time or there's a new killer out, but that's it. It'll never happen again after the first encounter.
Flawless OOTB running Proton Experimental. Used an Xbox 360 controller throughout with no issues.
Changed a dll (AssemblyUnity.dll) to change the keybindings to fit a Dvorak layout.
Sometimes the terminal will bug out and not register any input, this seems to be a KDE issue and is fixed by changing the window from fullscreen to windowed (or vice versa)
Game does not allow reassigning keybindings in-game, you'll have to decompile a .DLL and recompile it Unity-fashion to do so.
Runs OOTB - but you'll get a warning about an outdated OS / drivers.
Slight performance issues but I think that's poor optimisation rather than Linux.
Restart your game after a few rounds if you don't want to crash.
Poor optimisation but that's likely an Unreal Engine 5 problem.
Crashes after around 3 or 4 games due to a severe memory leak.
I don't think it's a Linux problem, it's a developer pushing a terribly optimised game in 2024 problem. Wait until the next beta.
Using FSR with Frame Generation basically makes this game so hideous as to be unplayabale.
Game runs terribly due to poor optimisation - albeit my CPU isn't great these days, it should not be performing this badly on a title like this.
If the game drops below 30 fps for whatever reason (like being in a settlement with Frame Generation off) then it'll crash your entire Wayland session.
Relatively stable experience out of the box.
Sometimes crashes when using tarot card character but not sure if that's Linux related or simple early access.
Flawless OOTB - can't go wrong here.
If I had to nitpick, it's one of those games that doesn't recognise special characters when remapping keybindings. So if you use Dvorak or Colemak layouts, you'll need to swap to Qwerty if you want to map ' for example.
Runs relatively well OOTB but prepare for lower than expected frames due to a poor optimisation job.
Seems like FSR is causing ghosting on every NPC.
Game is poorly optimised.
Crashed once around 2 hours in, smooth since.
Flawless OOTB in early access. Broken and won't got past "graphics card does not meet minimum requirement" message after release.

Tried every solution listed in various comments here, nothing works. This is likely a Mesa 23.1.6 issue as this driver has been affecting the performance of other games, such as Dead by Daylight having a severe memory leak. Hopefully next Mesa release will fix these issues.
Near flawless albeit with controller issues using the native port. In theory it should be fine for most, if not just use Proton.
Had issues with an Xbox 360 controller when running native, switched to experimental and everything worked as expected.
