It works great if you've got the latest drivers and such.
Input becomes laggy the longer you play the game. For example you can walk/run and when you release the keys, you character keeps moving. It gets progressively worse. I did not experience it early on in the game but the more you play, the more it becomes obvious. Rebooting will fix it...for a time.
Does not appear to work over in-home streaming. Just gives a black screen.
Amending my previous review (input lag)
In my previous review I mentioned that the longer you play the game, the more likely you will experience input lag. I have been playing this on my LAPTOP, not a desktop system. There is a workaround for the input lag: Plug in an external USB keyboard. The lag completely goes away. I have played several Proton games on this laptop and never experienced the input lag, only on Elex. But using an external keyboard solves it.
This works pretty much platinum-level for me.
I wanted to make an additional statement that as of Proton 5, remote play is now WORKING with this game. Tested on my Steam Link using a wireless mouse/keyboard. I've logged well over 90 hours on this game...running it with Proton 5 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
Works on Ubuntu 20.04 with a 1060ti quite well.
Performance problems were fixed by the overnight patch.
This game worked day one with Proton 7 on Ubuntu 20.04. It was glitchy at first but the patch they issued overnight seems to have fixed those glitches.
This game works out of the box on release day using Proton.
I have been playing this for about three hours on Ubuntu 22.04 using the default Proton. This is one of the very few times I can say it just worked right out of the box with no issues, full screen and with all graphics details cranked to the maximum.
