For the smoothest experience i recommend following https://themidnightride.moddinglinked.com for creating a more stable and better performing game (because of issues inherent to the game itself and its engine and not from being run through proton/wine) compare to bare vanilla fo4, i also recommend using https://github.com/sonic2kk/steamtinkerlaunch to easily setup mod organizer 2 for the above mention guide.
Game will eventually crash the longest its managed to run is about 1 and half hours, the shortest was less than a minute
The launch parameters are
