I use DZGUI to connect to servers. Sometimes have problems connecting but after a few tries I always succeed. Sometimes don't have any problems.
You have to use ´sudo sysctl -w vm.max_map_count=1048576´ before starting Steam to avoid the black screen.

Works perfectly except it prompts about C++ Visual Runtime installation on every boot. Couldn't figure out how to prevent that.

Sometimes have to tinker with the game on startup because it is fullscreen on my second monitor. Changing from fullscreen to something else and back to fullscreen fixes this.
